Egypt’s annual core inflation slows down to 40.4% in August: CBE

Egypt’s annual core inflation rate has decreased 40.4 percent during August from 40.7 during July, as per data released by the Central Bank of Egypt(CBE).

As for Monthly statistics, the rate of core inflation has slowed in August by 0.3 percent compared to 1.9 percent in July 2023.

Headline urban consumer inflation monthly rate recorded 1.6 percent decrease in August 2023 compared to 1.9 percent in July the same year, whereas it bump on the annual rate to 39.7 percent in August 2023 up from 38.2 percent in July last year , Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) declared on Sunday.
