Arab Contractors completes Alexandria-Matrouh international road project

Egypt’s state-run leading contracting company, Arab Contractors, has completed its share in Alexandria-Matrouh Free Highway with total cost of 600 million Egyptian pounds ($67 million), Hesham El-sabay, manager of Internal Roads Department said Tuesday.

The diversion of Alexandria-Matrouh international road started from the intersection road of Wadi El Natroun-Alamein road to New Alamein City entrance with total length of 33 kilo meter.

Egypt’s ministry of housing has directly assigned Arab Contractors to execute the road expansion quickly.

Alexandria-Matrouh Free Highway is one of the most vital arteries of the highway network in Egypt, linking the largest and most important port in Egypt with the Capital and serving the internal trade movement between them. As well as serving the urban development in the West Delta, its desert expansion and touristic activities in the North Coast.
