Oppo targets Egypt staff growth to 2,000 employees at year-end

Aiming to expand presence in the Egyptian market, China-based Oppo Electronics plans to hire more Egyptian employees in the second half of 2016 to reach 2,000 from 1,300.

In celebration of the first anniversary in Egypt, Lin Hai Hua, CEO of OPPO Egypt, said: “OPPO phones are always different than competitors and other brands. This will give us a good space to compete with the extensive launching of more products in the Egyptian market, depending on a professional and accurate work team from both China and Egypt to complete distribution tasks in all outlets in the best way as well as to emphasize the mental image of the company in the minds of its customers as a professional and efficient company while maintaining price stability.”

He pointed out that the company had officially began operations in Egypt since April 2015. It accomplished many expansions, the latest being the inauguration of its branch in Alexandria, the third after its first two branches in Cairo and Giza. The company also has a huge number of authorised distribution outlets and direct points of sale (POS) reaching 200 centres spread among a number of Egyptian governorates such as Mansoura, Ismailia, Port Said, and Suez. Expansions are expected to include Upper Egypt soon.
