Egypt’s Arab Contractors says it will complete building three wheat silos next December, at total cost of 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($225.3 million).
Mohsen Salah, Chairman of Arab Contractors, said the three silos locate in Sharq Al-Owainat, south-west of the country, and in Upper Egypt region.
his company was assigned to build 15 silos for wheat and grain storage in seven governorates, as part of a national programme that aims to decrease wheat loss, grow more in reclaimed desert land, and store them safely.
Arab Contractors has delivered a wheat storage silo in Port Said, at cost of 70 million pounds, Salah added.
“Within this September, we will hand over 12 wheat storage silos in five governorates,” Salah said.
