The Egyptian basketball national team has appointed Ahmed Marei as its head coach.
Marei is set to be on double duty as he takes over the Pharaohs while still managing Ittihad of Alexandria.
He will be joined by Wessam Gaber and Mohamed Selim as his assistants, and Ahmed Yehia as the team’s doctor.
Egypt will be led by Marei as they are set to play the World Cup qualifiers, set to begin in March.
The Pharaohs have been drawn with Morocco, Uganda, and one of Ghana, Liberia, or Niger.
