Egypt’s c. bank issues EGP 55b T-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Sunday offered a total of 55 billion Egyptian pounds in two treasury bills auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.

This auction offers investors two options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.

Investors can choose between:

182-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with an issue date of April 28rd, 2024, maturing on October 29^th, 2024.

364-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with an issue date of April 28rd, 2024, maturing on April 29^th, 2025.

The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
