Egypt’s Cabinet ratifies proposed amendments on new unified tax procedures bill

Egypt’s Cabinet approved a number of proposed amendments on new unified tax procedures bill, taking into consideration all remarks paid by ministers on the legislation.

The approval came on Wednesday during a videoconferencing meeting chaired by Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The bill stipulates a simplified, unified procedure for filing income, stamp and VAT tax duties.

The draft law paves the way for a new electronic billing and tax payment platform.
