Egypt’s largest ceramics maker Cleopatra Group plans to open a megamall in Cairo, Cleopatra Mall by mid-2018, its chairman Mohamed Abou el-Enein told Amwal Al Ghad on Tuesday.
Located in 6th of October City, about 20 minutes west of central Cairo, the luxury retailing mall represents an investment of more than 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($55.2 million), Abou el-Enein said.
The mall is part of Cleopatra Group’s mega tourism and real estate flagships, he added, saying it is a 50 percent self-financed.
Designed by world renowned Retail Architect Davide Padoa of Design International, the project provides a mix of unique facilities and services, which will make mall a retail and entertainment destination of its own kind.
With over 30 percent of the total 105,000 square metres of GLA dedicated to leisure and entertainment, Cleopatra Mall is set to offer everything from gourmet dining, health spa, and night life. It will be the first mall in Egypt open 24 hours.
Outside the mall, there will be a breathtaking lake with waterfall and aquatic show, surrounded by restaurants and one of the largest multimedia displays in the Middle East, to be become the commercial and entertainment heart of 6th of October City.
Cleopatra Mall will feature more than 300 shops over four floors, and on the top floor a 13 screen Cinema complex and foodcourt with a view overlooking the building and the Great Pyramids of Giza in the distance.
