Egypt’s Court Suspends Challenge On Shura Council Till 17th Sept.

The commissioners of the Supreme Constitutional Court suspended the challenge on the unconstitutionality of the elections law of the Shura Council, till writing the report about the constitutionality of the law. The deadline for writing the report is on 17th September.

Judge Maher Al Baharei, the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court, asserted that there are no sessions today about annulling the Shura Council, and this session is a preparatory one.

Adnan Al Shokeery has filed a suit (10627/58) before the Administrative Judiciary Court that is calling for annulling the Shura Council elections. The suit was referred to the commissioners and registered in the tables of the Supreme Constitutional Court under the number of (112/34).
