Egypt’s El-Araby Group to open new factories in Beni Suef in July

Egyptian electronics and home appliances maker, El-Araby Group said on Sunday it plans to open some factories at the industrial complex in Beni Suef governorate next July.

With investments of more than 5 billion Egyptian pounds ($291 million), the new factories will be inaugurated on a space of 160,000 square metres.

El-Araby had earlier established 12 factories, employing 11,000 workers, whereas more than a half of the production will be directed for exportation, it added.

“The meteorological experts are expecting a rise in temperature and pollution rates all over the world this year. That is why having air conditioning and purifying systems became now more necessary than ever,” said head of El-Araby’s Sharp Air Conditioner and Cooling Factory Mohy Al-Hamalawi.

Moreover, inverter technology, used in Sharp air conditioners, enables customers to transform hesitant electric wave into stable power wave. This cause a direct saving for energy up to 40 percent, Al-Hamalawi added.

In 2004, El-Araby manufactured its first air conditioning in its factories located at Quesna city in Monufia governorate on a space of 45,000 square metres.
