Egypt’s El Walili Group to inaugurate food industrial complex next Sept

Rice miller and exporter of Egyptian rice, El Walili Group for Development and Investment is planning to inaugurate an industrial complex for grain production and packing next September.

El Walili complex is with cost worth 120 million Egyptian pounds ($6.6 million).

The complex is built in Borg El Arab, southwest of Alexandria,on a space of 50,000 metres square, said El Walili CEO ,adding that it will help doubling the group sales volume in the current year.

The complex comprises a lentil production and packing factory whose production capacity will be 6 tonnes per hour, he further said elaborating that the investment cost of the plant is estimated to be about 60 million pounds.

The complex also contains a unit for processing and sorting of agricultural crops, with an investment cost of about 60 million pounds.

The group has lately increased its production capacity of rice, sugar, and grains packing to around 60 tonnes yearly, through adding two new production lines, he clarified.

El Walili said that the market share of the group is about ten percent of the country’s packed grains market, aiming to let it reach 20 percent at the end of the current year.
