Egypt’s Electricity Ministry earmarks 18 mln pounds investments for transport networks

Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity will invest for the first time in its history 18 billion Egyptian pounds ($1 billion) to upgrade the transport and distribution networks, spokesman Ayman Hamza said Tuesday.

There will be an increase in the electrical power reserves from as soon as electrical energy when the power plants designed by Germany’s conglomerate Siemens become operational, Hamza added.
