Egypt’s Engineering Exports To Arab Countries Attain EGP 3.6 Bln

The Egyptian exports of engineering and electronic products the Arab countries to throughout January-May 2013 achieved EGP 3.6 billion, according to sources from the Foreign Trade sector to Amwl Al Ghad.

The first Arab countries that imported the Egyptian engineering and electronic products are Saudi Arabia; recording EGP 1.2 billion followed by Algeria at EGP 688 million, and Iraq at a value of EGP 383 million. However, Libya, Qatar, UAE, and Lebanon recorded more than EGP 200 million for each country.

On his part, Khaled Ibrahim, Head of Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC), told “Amwal Al Ghad” that the Arab market is the best promising one for the Egyptian engineering and electronic products during the coming period besides the African market; expecting the rise of Egyptian exports to these markets in the coming period.
