Egypt’s Exports Fall 17% In July

Egypt’s exports have reached EGP 9.4 billion through July, retreated by 17%. Noting that, they hit had EGP 11.3 billion July 2011.

A report issued by the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), which Amwal Al Ghad received a copy, mentioned that Egypt’s exports through the first half of 2012 (from January to July) have reached EGP 75.8 billion, recording a decline of 5%. Egypt’s exports during the first half of 2011 (from January to July) had recorded EGP 79.8 billion.

GOEIC added that Egypt’s export outcome achieved through July represents 47% of the total targeted export outcome by the end of this year. Egypt targets a total export outcome of EGP 160 billion by the end of 2012.
