Egypt’s exports to Africa rise 13% YoY in 10 months

Egypt’s exports to Africa climbed by 13 percent year on year (YoY) during the first 10 months of 2023, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said.

The minister said that the exports hit a value of $six billion during that period.

Among the top Egyptian products exported to Africa were marble, cement, polyethene, and phosphate fertilisers, Samir said during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The value of exports superseded expectations of the Egyptian Chamber of Chemical Industries at the Federation Of Egyptian Industries (FEI), which estimated exports to Africa at $5.5 billion.
