Egypt’s exports to Turkey 7.6% up in H1: minister

Egypt’s exports to Turkey rose 7.6 percent y-o-y to record $681.5 million throughout the first half of the year, Egyptian Minister of Industry Tarek Qabil announced Tuesday.

In the first half of 2015, Egyptian exports to Turkey stood at $633.1 million.

Imports from Turkey fell 6.1 percent to $1.485 billion in the first half of 2016, from $1.395 billion in the same period a year earlier, the Egyptian minister added.

Trade exchange between Egypt and Turkey fell 2 percent to record around $2.077 billion at the end of June 2016 versus $2.119 billion in the same period last year, according to the latest report released by the Egyptian Commercial Office in Turkey.
