Egypt’s Foreign: Morsi, Putin Discusses Wheat File, Syrian Crisis In Moscow

During President Mohamed Morsi’s visit to Moscow, the Egyptian side will discuss with the Russian officials the ways of boosting the cooperation between Egypt and Russia, whereas the latter is one of the biggest countries that exports wheat, meanwhile Egypt is the biggest country that imports wheat, said Mohamed Kamel Amr, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The minister elaborated that, during a press conference held this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian doesn’t support a particular person in the Syrian revolution, but it support Syria’s interest in general. Russian doesn’t support Bashar Al Assad who has no role in the Syrian future.

He added that Egypt is pro the political solution in Syria and the Syrian regime has to realize that it can’t solve the crisis by the military and exterminating the Syrian people.

The situation of Lakhdar Brahimi is not clear so far and he spoke as an envoy of the United Nations (UN); indicating that he heard today that Brahimi will quit his post.

On the other hand, Amr mentioned that relations between Egypt and Iran will not be impacted by the Iranian tourism.
