Egypt’s Foreign Reserves Rose to around $17.420 bln in March- C.Bank Head

Egypt’s foreign reserves rose to around USD 17.420 bln in March from USD 17.307 bln in February, central bank governor Hisham Ramez said in a late TV interview on Tuesday.

Egypt’s reserves have been falling sharply since a 2011 uprising that ousted President Hosni Mubarak, but rose last July, when Gulf Arab states sent billions of dollars after the army took power from elected Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.
