Egypt’s GASC buys 60K tons of Ukrainian corn

Egypt’s state grain buyer, General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has secured 60,000 tons of Ukrainian yellow corn to be delivered in the second half of February and early March, Minister of Supply Ali Moslehy said on Sunday.

GASC bought 60,000 tons of Ukrainian corn through direct offers, while the two 30,000-ton cargos were sold at an FOB price of $308 per ton each, with a shipping cost of $15 per ton.

The state grain buyer has contracted for about 110 1,000 tons during February and the beginning of March, with the directives of the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, the statement mentioned.
