Egypt’s Govt Allocates EGP5.8 bln For Governorates’ Development In FY2013-14

The economic and social development plan, which was set by Dr. Hesham Kandil’s cabinet for the fiscal year 2013-2014, allocated EGP 5.8 billion for the investments of the Egyptian Ministry of Local Investment, distributed on the administrative apparatus of the state, the local administration, and service and economic authorities.

The administrative apparatus of the state’s volume reached EGP 410 million (7.1%), the investments of the local administration is EGP 3.67 billion (63.3%), the service authorities’ obtain EGP 35 million (0.6%), while the economic authorities’ allocations volume is EGP 1.69 billion (29%), which divided into EGP 1.45 billion for Public Transportation Authority in Cairo, and EGP 240 million Alexandria Passenger Transportation Authority.

These investments were distributed according to the statistics of the population number in some governorates like Upper Egypt and the needs of these governorates.
