Egypt’s ICT To Launch Competition For Youths In Next Sept

The Information and Communication Technology Ministry (MCIT) is aiming to regulate the competition for choosing the best two participants to represent the Egyptian youth in the International Youth Summit which was held in Costa Rica in the period from 9 to 11 September 2013.

The youths will meet from various countries in Costa Rica in order to identify their priorities and unify themselves toward the local and international political issues.

The event also aims to influence the United Nations and civil society so as to achieve greater commitment towards the development of ICT for the power of development plan priorities beyond 2015.

The competition includes several topics such as “change Your World”  which cares about the issues of citizenship, good governance and development beyond 2015, in addition, the theme of “Stay safe,” which focuses on the protection of children on the Internet and cyber security.

The summit topics including the climate and sustainability change under the name of ‘Respect the environment’, ‘moving forward’ which related to entrepreneurship, work and creativity, and finally the “health” and who specializes for the awareness of a healthy lifestyle.

Moreover, the developers, telecommunications engineers, entrepreneurs and young community leaders will participate in the competition who are working in fields relevant to the competition topics.
