Egypt’s Interim President Heads To Jordan

Egyptian interim President Adly Mansour is scheduled to travel to Jordan on Tuesday morning to meet King Abdullah II.

The visit aims to explore the means of consolidating relations between the two countries, as well as discuss the conditions of Egyptian expatriates in Jordan.

The Jordanian Monarchy, a staunch opponent of the Muslim Brotherhood, has strongly backed Egypt’s ouster of Mohamed Morsi on 3 July.

On Monday 7 October, Saudi Arabia was the first leg of Mansour’s maiden foreign visit as Egyptian interim president since he was sworn in on 4 July.

He is scheduled to return to Cairo late Tuesday.
