Egypt’s ITIDA, Orange explore cooperation in ICT sector

Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the IT arm of the Ministry of Communications, has explored Thursday ways of cooperation in ICT sector with France’s Orange Group.

Asmaa Hosny, CEO of ITIDA, has received Thursday Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon, advisor to Orange’s chairman for of International Relation, and reviewed ITIDA’s latest projects of including the new technology parks in Borg El-Arab and Assiut.

During the meeting, Hosny also tackled a number of initiatives ITIDA launched to promote Egypt’s IT services and products such as the electronic industries initiative. She also highlighted ITIDA’s ongoing efforts to promote products of Egyptian tech firms into foreign markets.

Meanwhile,Michel Reveyrand-de Menthon lauded Orange’s ongoing partnership with Egyptian ICT sector, asserting his company’s keenness to support ITIDA’s initiatives which work in favor of the development of the sector.

He also pledged allocating a part of the company’s budget to finance these initiatives, particularly of those related to the empowerment of people with disabilities to work within the sector.
