EFSA: Egypt’s leasing contracts surge 31% in ten months

Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) revealed Thursday leasing companies have signed contracts worth 22 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.2 billion) during the first ten months of 2017, around 31 percent up from last year.

Leasing contracts dropped to 1,496 pounds at the end of 2017, compared with1,964 pounds during the same period last year.

Moreover, the county’s real estate sector attained 70.8 percent of leasing activity contracts worth 15.547 billion pounds, while heavy trucks sector obtained 6.6 percent and heavy equipment sector got 6.5 percent.
