Egypt’s Main Gauge Hits 5645 pts at Closing

Egypt’s stocks have maintained their rally during the closing session of Tuesday posting gains of EGP 3.2 billion backed by local buyers.

The main gauge has closed above 5640 pts.

The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Tuesday.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 0.12% to close at 5645.27 p; while the EGX20 rose by 0.38% to end at 6549.66 p. 

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 soared by 2.75% to conclude at 440.98 p. The price index EGX100 surged by 2.09% to finish at 756.27 p.

The capital market has closed at EGP 366.316 billion on Tuesday.

Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Tuesday, the trading volume has reached 97.421 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 349.878 million, exchanged through 18.677 thousand transactions.  

Also during the closing session, 168 listed securities have been traded in; 27 declined, 115 advanced; while 26 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activity

Egyptians remained net buyers seizing 77.66% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 32.080 million, excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 14.62% and 7.73% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 28.036 million and EGP 4.043 million, excluding the deals.
