Egypt’s mining exports to Canada reached around EGP 659 million during the first quarter of 2014, a 15% decline year-on-year, according to the Foreign Trade Sector’s latest bulletin.
Despite the fall, Canada is still capturing the lion’s share of Egyptian mining products. Italia comes in the second position in terms of receiving Egyptian mining exports at value of EGP 504 million. In addition, Libya ranks third, importing Egyptian mining products worth EGP 248 million.
Furthermore, the bulletin stated that gold and precious stones seized more than 50% of Egypt’s total exports of mining products to Canada.
