Egypt’s NTRA: Mobile Service Quality Flourished In Cairo & Delta

A service quality report issued by National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) regarding the first quarter of 2013 and ended in the last March, has revealed  the remarkable improvement in the voice services levels.

The report said the services of some areas are affected by cable damage, theft , destruction acts and the repeated power outages.

The report has indicated that Vodafone and Etisalat networks are the worst in mobile phone callings in South and East Cairo, while Vodafone Egypt ranked worst in terms of callings in South Cairo.

Mobinil ranked first in voice quality in greater Cairo, except North Cairo which is worst in voice quality and this according to NTRA’s report that focused on the number of outage times in per call , asserting that  voice quality and interference calls are the main factors.

In North Alexandria Mobinil has registrated the highest failure degree concerning the voice calls with 1.4%, while Etisalat is the best as it registrated 0.7%, but it has the highest outage calls with 1.3% in west Alexandria.

In Delta, Etisalat Egypt is the worst mobile operator concerning calls in Kafr el-Dawar with 3.1%, despite Vodafone is the worst in Banha with 1%, but Mobinil was the best in voice quality in Damietta, Mansoura, Alzakazek.

Moreover, the report said Mobinil service has improved in Canal cities concerning voice quality and calls, while Vodafone ranked worst in Canal cities.

In Upper Egypt, Mobinil came the best in Assiut, Minya, but Vodafone is the worst in these governorates.
