Egypt’s Orascom Construction adds $650 mln to underway projects in Q4-2017

Egypt’s Orascom Construction Company (OC) has added new contracts worth US$650 million to the value of its underway flagships during the fourth quarter of 2017, said chief executive Osama Bishai on Monday.

Orascom Construction is a leading global engineering and construction firm, which focuses on infrastructure, industrial, and high-end commercial projects in the Middle East, North Africa, and United States.

The company has won a mandate to execute a number of new flagships estimated at around $750 million in the United States, Bishai further stated.

“Orascom Construction has recently ended the alliance with a French firm and another Japanese firm,” the official referred.

Khaled Fouda, South Sinai’s Governor, added that Orascom will team up with the county’s state-owned Arab Contractors and Armed Forces Engineering Authority to carry out a new road project of 3.5 billion pounds.
