Egypt’s Orascom Construction to develop 250 MW wind farm

Egypt’s Orascom Construction Company (OC) has signed Tuesday a contract to develop, construct, and operate 250 MW wind farm in the county.

The project is to be executed on build-own-operate basis under 20-year power purchase agreement with The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.

Orascom said that this flagship is expected to reach financial close by end of 2017, after which the company will commence and take place for 24 months.
