Egypt’s Oriental Weavers to Build its 1st Factory in Latin America – CEO Says

Egypt’s leading carpet manufacturer Oriental Weavers Group (ORWE.CA) is currently preparing to launch its first factory in Latin America, particularly in Brazil – the Group’s chairman announced on Thursday.

In an exclusive statement to Amwal Al Ghad, OW Chairman Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis said: “This factory will be a key export hub of OW in Latin America which sees growing demand for furnishing products. Our group ranks first globally in such products.”

Mr. Khamis further added that full details – including the investment cost – for the OW’s project in Brazil will be announced soon, after finishing all the ongoing studies on the new factory.

Worth to mention is that Mr. Khamis acquired two months ago 75% of a Turkish carpet factory to be designated for becoming the group’s new sale hub in Turkey and the European markets.
