Biggest Educational Hospital in MENA opened in Egypt’s Tanta

Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has inaugurated Tuesday the biggest educational hospital in the Middle East, located in Tanta governorate with total cost of 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 327.6 million).

The inauguration ceremony of the International Educational Hospital was in the presence of Egyptian ministers of higher education Al-Sayed Abdul Khaleq, and of local development Adel Labib.

The prime minister and the ministers were received by Said Mustafa Kamel, Gharbia Governor, Abdel Hakim Abdel Khalek, Tanta University President, Dean of Tanta’s Medicine Faculty, and Tanta University’s Vice-Presidents.

The International Educational Hospital at Tanta University was established on 850 square metres, consisting of seven floors: basement, ground floor and five floors.

It is set to offer comprehensive free service in the treatment of tumors with the capacity of 72 beds.

Moreover, the international hospital had an Intensive Care Unit with six artificial respiration machines and equipped with Clinical Pathology Lab, Pain Treatment Center, high- and middle-energy radiation machines, computerized planning machines, 3D physic calculations, in addition to specialized outpatient clinics.
