Egypt’s stock market indices end higher, EGX 30 climbs 2.4% on Sunday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 2.39 percent to 11,213 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 1.25 percent to 2,179 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped edged up 1.91 percent to 13,689 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 1.40 percent to 3,168 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 1.22 percent at 2,300 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 9.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($591.1 million) to close at 669.370 billion pounds on Sunday.

Trading Aggregates           

Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.45 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 561.579 million securities executed 53,541 transactions.
