Egypt’s stock market indices close higher, EGX 30 adds 0.18% on Thursday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index rising 0.18 percent to 11,017 points buoyed by local investors’ buying appetite.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) added 0.78 percent to 1,992 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went up 0.37 percent to 12,990 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 hiked 0.81 percent higher to 2,912 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged up 0.76 percent up to 2,118 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 3.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($211.2 million) to close at 628.984 billion pounds on Thursday.

Trading Aggregates      

Also on Thursday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.9 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 495.1 million securities executed 50,739 transactions.
