Egypt’s stock market indices close lower, EGX 30 falls 0.29% on Monday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.29 percent to 10,813 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 0.80 percent to 2,143 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went down 0.20 percent to 13,225 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dropped 0.70 percent to 3,096 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 tumbled 0.52 percent at 2,234 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 116 million Egyptian pounds ($7.4 million) to close at 653.453 billion pounds on Monday.

Trading Aggregates          

Also on Monday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.36 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 425.601 million securities executed 39,692 transactions.
