Egypt’s stocks boom on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 climbs 2.69%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 2.69 percent to 10,061 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) edged up 1.80 percent to 2,371 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped jumped 2.45 percent to 12,604 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 1.89 percent to 3,317 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 2.15 percent to 2,210 points.

The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday posted impressive gains worth 11.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($760.3 million), ending the trading at 644.250 billion pounds boosted by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
