Egypt’s stocks bounce back on Thursday, benchmark EGX 30 climbs 1.60%

Egypt stock market cap gains EGP 7.4 bln

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes traded higher on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 1.60 percent to 11,618 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) advanced 0.93 percent to 2,384 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged 1.58 percent to 14,261 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also added 1.14 percent to 3,424 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 hiked 0.97 percent to 2,379 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Thursday made gains worth 7.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($471.6 million) to close at 709.304 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached 2.6 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 799.243 million securities executed 53,677 transactions.
