Egypt’s stocks close higher, benchmark EGX 30 rises 0.42% on Tuesday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index rising 0.42 percent to 11,637 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 1.15 percent to 2,414 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose 0.28 percent to 14,236 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 1.04 percent to 3,448 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 grew 1.12 percent at 2,418 points.

 Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has made gains worth 5.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($324.16 million) to close at 708.125 billion pounds on Tuesday.

Trading Aggregates            

Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 6.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 628.481 million securities executed 56,264 transactions.
