Egypt’s stocks close mixed on Wednesday as benchmark EGX 30 slides 0.13%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in mixed notes on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index sliding by 0.13 percent to 11,898 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.07 percent to 2,183 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped by 0.14 percent to 14,159 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 0.24 percent to 2,077 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 increased by 0.10 percent to 3,228 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth 497 million Egyptian pounds ($31.6 million), ending the trading at 753.493 billion pounds backed by local investors’ buying appetite.
Trading Aggregates
Trading value has approximately reached around 997.257 million pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 321.734 million securities executed 34,733 transactions.
