Egypt’s Stocks end Bullish with Gains worth US$778 million

Egypt’s bourse concluded higher on Wednesday with gains worth 6.1 billion Egyptian pounds (US$778.5 million).

The market capitalisation has reached 494.225 billion pounds during the closing session of Wednesday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 climbed by 1.96 percent to 8105.69 points.

EGX20 soared by 2.30 percent to 8115.72 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 grow by 1.58 percent to 454.25 points. The price index, EGX100 increased by 1.58 percent to 928.94 points.

Turnovers high

On Wednesday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 216.960 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 925.176 million, exchanged through 25.336 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 179 listed securities have been traded in; 21declined, 128 advanced; while 23 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Arab and non-Arab investors were net buyers on Wednesday getting 4.99% and 8.03% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 15.354 million and EGP 40.841 million, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, the Egyptian investors were net sellers seizing 86.98% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 56.195 million, excluding the deals.
