Egypt’s stocks end higher on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 grows 0.45%

 

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 0.45 percent to 11,163 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up 0.60 percent to 2,974 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped gained 0.34 percent to 13,497 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 surged 0.53 percent to 3,985 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 rose 0.74 percent to 2,498 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday posted gains worth 668 million Egyptian pounds ($42.5 million), ending the trading at 736.155 billion pounds buoyed by Arab investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 692.465 million securities executed 69,276 transactions.
