Egypt’s stocks end higher on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 rises 0.11%
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up 0.15 to 2,814 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped increased 0.31 percent to 13,309 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced 0.26 percent to 3,803 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 fell 0.46 percent to 2,379 points.
The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday posted gains worth 3.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($248.4 million), ending the trading at 711.042 billion pounds backed by local investors’ buying appetite.
Trading value has approximately reached around 4.6 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 580.970 million securities executed 71,992 transactions.
