Egypt’s stocks end higher on Tuesday as benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.43%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has ended mostly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 0.43 percent to 11,188 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) slumped by 0.33 percent to 2,904 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose by 0.68 percent to 13,668 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 remained with no change at 3,911 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced by 0.71 percent to 2,454 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 2.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($165 million), ending the trading at 733.710 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 669.244 million securities executed 58,347 transactions.
