Egypt’s stocks end week up higher as benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.04%

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has ended trading higher on Thursday as the benchmark EGX 30 index added 0.04 percent to 10,723 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 2.43 to 2,824 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dipped 0.01 percent to 13,152 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 1.79 percent to 3,805 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged up 1.22 percent to 2,367 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Thursday posted gains worth 3.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($210.2 million), ending the trading at 706.446 billion pounds buoyed by local investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 2.3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 492.858 million securities executed 54,395 transactions.
