Suez Canal Revenues Surge to $468.8 million

Revenues from Egypt’s vital waterway Suez Canal hiked by 7% to US$ 468.8 million in May from US$ 438.1 million in the same month a year ago, according to the Suez Canal Authority’s official website.

The waterway, the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia, is one of Egypt’s main sources of foreign currency.
