Estonia, Egypt Ink MoU to Cooperate in E-Gov Service

The Egyptian Telecom Minister, Eng. Atef Helmy received a delegation headed by Deputy Telecom Minister at the Ministry and Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia to discuss the cooperation and exchange of experiences in digital identity and cyberspace services as well as applying e-government where Estonia is one of the most successful experiences with extensive experience in this field.

The Minister asserted at his keynote speech that the ministry’s goals to spread e-government services, improve quality and to serve the citizens.

Helmy said information and communication technology sector has a great importance for the societies’ progress and growth, noting his interest in Estonia experience in digital society, as Estonia witnessed progress and achievement in this field, as Estonia experience is unique as it is the most advanced country and its successful story stems from a great partnership between the government and Estonian ICT sector.

During the meeting a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the both sides have been signed , including Dr. Noha Adly first Deputy to the Information and Communication Technology Minister and Taavi Kotka, Deputy Secretary General-ICT at Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications for Estonia in e-government , digital identity and X-road interoperability platform.
