Egyptian Petroleum Research holds 18th International Conference next February

The Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (Epri) is holding its 18th International Conference on Petroleum, Mineral Resources and Sustainable Development next February 8-10.

This conference is under the sponsorship of Egyptian Oil Minister Sherif Ismail and Scientific Research Minister Sherif Hamad.

From his part, Yasser Mostafa – Epri’s Vice Director – said the conference would discuss 230 worksheets in fields of clean technology in various petroleum activities such exploration, production, wells development process, shipping and restoration, manufacture and petrochemicals. In addition, the conference would discuss how to rationalize the usage of the energy in various fields and the role played by the natural gas in the development process.

Furthermore, Mostafa noted that elite of the petroleum sector leaders and energy experts will attend the conference, including former petroleum minister Osama Kamal, Said Elnashaie – Professor at University Putra Malaysia, Maghawry Shehata – Prof. of Hydrogeology and Water Resources and former president of Menoufiya University, and Ibrahim al-Assiri – expert in nuclear energy affairs.

There will be also an event to be organised on the sidelines of the conference with the participation of Enppi, Petrojet, Total Obagi, Egy Tech, Royal Chemical, Misr Petroleum, and other major oil companies.
