EU approves new €500mn-aids programme for Egypt – trade minister

The European Union has approved new aids programme for Egypt estimated at €500 million to be presented to the parliament within the coming few days.

Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil told Amwal Al Ghad Monday that Giulio Regeni’s murder crisis would not harm mutual relations between Egypt and EU states generally and Italy specifically.

Egypt plans to enhance its trade cooperation with all EU states within the coming period, the minister stated.
