Finance Ministry Fails To Sell T-Bonds Worth EGP 2 Bln

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance cancelled an auction on five-year treasury bonds worth EGP one billion and sold three-year treasury bonds worth EGP 500 million out of total EGP 1.5 billion at a rate of 14.35%.

Three-year treasury bonds are offered at an average rate of 14.387%. Yields on three-year treasury bonds ranged from 14.25% to 15.80%.

10-year treasury bonds are offered at an average rate of 16.32%. Yields on 10-year treasury bonds ranged from 15.30% to 17.10%.

The Ministry of Finance failed to sold T-bills worth EGP 3 billion on December 30th and cancelled an auction to sell T-bills worth EGP 6 billion last week.
