Foreign Ministry Seeks to Lift Travel Ban on Luxor, Aswan

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Atty said the ministry is seeking to convince the European countries in order to amend their travel advising on Egypt’s Luxor and Aswan.

Abdel Atty has mentioned the important role of the Egyptian embassies abroad, which resulted in lifting its ban on traveling to tourist destinations in Egypt including Luxor and Aswan of each of Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland, taking into account that these countries previously cancelled ban on traveling to South Sinai and Red Sea.

Abdel Atty added that the Ministry is completing its efforts in accordance with the Tourist Ministry, aiming to cancel the travel warnings to Egypt, asserting that the Ministerial decrees concerning easing travel warnings to the tourist areas in Egypt came after convincing these countries for stability conditions in the Egyptian tourist destinations.
