Foreign Tech Firms Aim to Cooperate with Egyptian Ministry for IT Strategy

Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister has reviewed the main features of ICT sector, what have been achieved within the previous period including growth rates and the submitted investment opportunities.

The Minister has asserted on the sideline of Cairo ICT that the IT firms will direct its strategic plans, stressing on the important role which is playing by the small and medium enterprises which will serve 2017 strategy including creative projects and applications.

Eng. Hesham Alayli, CEO of the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) stated that the Egyptian ICT sector will witness better development and transformation during the coming phase through clear strategy by developing the telecom infrastructure, asserting that the integrated operator license is a fundamental element in the ICT strategy.

Takreem Al Tohamy, General Manager of IBM Middle East and Africa explained that IBM is following ICT strategy, mentioning the important of making the best use of experts and human resources and the role which must play by Egypt to develop Africa technologically such as the cloud computing.
